A woman and her two young children who died in a crash in Co Wexford last night have been named.
Jacinta Sinnott (24) from Holdmanhill, Duncormick, Co Wexford, her 3-year-old son Trevor and 1-year-old daughter Tanya died when their car was in collision with a truck near Wexford.
Her 7-year-old daugter who was in the back of the car remains in a stable condition in Wexford General Hospital. A 17-year-old man travelling in the front has been transfered to St James Hospital in Dublin, where he is in a critical condition, according to gardaí.
The crash happened on the N25 at Larkin's Cross at about 8.40pm.
The driver of the truck was treated for shock, according to a spokesman in Wexford Garda station.
The scene of the crash, about 6 kilometres from Wexford town, remained sealed off this afternoon and the road is closed.
The junction at Larkin's Cross has been the scene of crashes in the past.
Eight people were taken to Wexford General Hospital last Thursday following a collision between a minibus and car at the junction. The mini-bus was travelling from the direction of New Ross and collided with a car coming from Wexford.
The deaths bring the number killed on the State's roads so far this year to 287, down from 304 for the same period last year.
