Four escapees from juvenile detention centres across country the were rearrested this morning following a one-hour garda chase.

A teenaged boy escaped from Oberstown House in North County Dublin while two other teenaged boys escaped from Ferry House in Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

One teenaged girl escaped from Loughmahon Detention centre in Cork.

The four were travelling in a stolen van with two others. They were arrested in Mallow at 1 o'clock following a one hour pursuit from Cork city by gardaí

They will be dealt with under the juvenile detention scheme and will be returned to their place of detention.
