A 26-year-old Irish artist will open her first solo US exhibition at a gallery in New York at the end of this month.
Lisa McCleary’s exhibition, Edging, features a series of paintings on aluminium and tapestries under the theme of touch.
Originally from Greystones, Co Wicklow, McCleary graduated with honours from the Masters in Fine Arts programme at Parsons, The New School in New York in 2018.
Relationships
McCleary's work has been exhibited in Seattle, Ohio and Connecticut and before moving to the United States she had two solo exhibitions in Sydney.
Currently resident at the Vermont Studio Centre, her work in painting, installation and sculpture focuses on the pleasure of flesh and our relationships with communication devices.
Edging will run at Gallery MC, Manhattan, from April 29th.
