Gardaí renew appeal for anyone who witnessed incident involving Tressa McKernan

A 75-year-old woman who was hit by a motorcyclist in Co Dublin earlier this month has died.

Tressa McKernan was seriously injured after she was struck by a motorcycle at about 7.45pm on April 8th while crossing Ballinteer Avenue in Dublin 16. It is understood Ms McKernan had just stepped off the bus and was attempting to cross the road when the collision occurred.

She was taken to St James's Hospital and transferred to Beaumont Hospital where she was treated for serious injuries. She died on Saturday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to St Vincent’s hospital following the incident where he was treated for minor injures.
