Man in his 50s pronounced dead at scene, gardaí appeal for witnesses

Gardaí are investigating after a motorcyclist was killed in a traffic collision in Co Kerry on Saturday.

The deceased, a man in his 50s, was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a car on the N70 between Kenmare and Sneem, Co Kerry, shortly before midday.

He was pronounced dead a short time later at the scene. The occupants of the car were not injured in the crash.

The Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have been called to the scene and the road is closed, with local traffic diversions in place.
