Snow has fallen in a number of areas across the country as counties affected by rising water levels on the River Shannon continue to battle floods.
Snow fell in the north west, including in counties Mayo, Leitrim and Roscommon on Saturday.
Met Éireann predicted further sleet and snow for northern areas , as well as the surface water on roads and ongoing flooding.

Head of forecasting at Met Éireann, Gerald Fleming, said there was snow in Monaghan and Cavan and the cold air was moving southwards.
“We will see a temporary, but quite nasty snow and ice situation for this evening and tonight,” he said.
Rain will continue throughout the afternoon in the west, possibly turning to sleet or snow on high ground before clearing. Temperatures of 3-5 degrees are forecast.
By Saturday night, conditions will be dry in most parts of the country, with frost and icy patches expected.
