Two sought over armed robbery in Dublin

Two men entered a bookies and threatened staff before escaping with a quantity of cash

Gardaí are looking for two men they say carried out an armed robbery at a bookmakers shop on Sundrive Road on Friday night.

Two males, one believed to be armed with a shotgun, entered the premises at about 8.40pm and gained access to the area behind the counter.

Gardaí said they threatened and assaulted staff before fleeing the scene with an amount of cash.

One man was wearing a red hoodie, grey tracksuit bottoms, black gloves and was carrying a green plastic shopping bag. The second male is described as being of heavy build wearing a grey Adidas hoodie top. This man was wearing a balaclava.
