Police in Northern Ireland have arrested an 18-year-old man accused of rape who was on the run in Ireland over recent weeks.
Blackpool native Ryan Humpage was wanted by police in Lancashire in relation to allegations of theft and assault. He was also charged with the rape of a 13- year-old girl.
After breaching his bail conditions in England, he travelled to Ireland where he was actively pursued by gardaí, who warned that he was operating under various aliases including Dylan Dunne, Ryan Willington and Karl Ward.
There were sightings of him - who gardaí described as dangerous- in Sligo and Kildare over recent days. He was reportedly found sleeping in a truck in the Shane’s Castle area of Co Antrim, and was detained by the PSNI.
He remains in custody, and arrangements have been made to transfer him back to England.
