A man has been charged with drugs and firearms offences in Northern Ireland.

The 47-year-old is to appear before court in Banbridge later this month after the PSNI confiscated methadone and weapons at an address on Tuesday.

A 40-year-old woman arrested as part of the same operation was released on bail pending further inquiries.

The man was yesterday charged with possession of a class B drug and with possession with intent to supply.

He was also charged with possession of firearms in suspicious circumstances.

He is to appear in court on May 23rd.
