PSNI detectives investigating the stabbing to death of a woman outside Limavady, Co Derry, on Monday, July 12th, have arrested a man (53) on suspicion of murder.
The victim (37), whose name has not yet been released, and the suspect were holidaying in the area at the time of the stabbing, police said on Tuesday.
Det Chief Insp John Caldwell said that just after 8.20 pm on Monday police received a report that a woman had been stabbed at an outdoor accommodation site on Seacoast Road near Limavady.
"Officers attended, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service but, sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene," he said.
