Jimmy (77) and Kathleen Cuddihy (73): found murdered at their home in Carndonagh, Co Donegal.

A Donegal man charged with the murder of his elderly parents has been remanded in custody following a brief court appearance.

Julian Cuddihy (42), of Churchtown, Carndonagh, Donegal, appeared in court on Friday at a remand hearing atHarristown District Court in Co Roscommon, which is adjacent to Castlerea Prison.

He is charged with the murder of his parents Jimmy (77) and Kathleen (73) at the family home in Carndonagh on or around October 22nd.

Mr Cuddihy has been in custody at Castlrea since he was remanded at a sitting of Ballyshannon District Court on October 24th.

Judge Geoffrey Browne remanded Mr Cuddihy in custody to appear before Harristown District Court on February 13th.

The accused man consented to his further remand.
