Wacky ideas at Ryanair

Ryanair says it has received more than 2,000 suggestions in 24 hours from people with ingenious or wacky ways to milk the airline’s passengers for further fees. The airline is offering €1,000 to whoever comes up with the best idea after Adam Harvey’s front-page story in The Irish Times on February 21st, in which a passenger suggested that Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary would install coin-operated toilets next. Ideas include charging for toilet paper embossed with O’Leary’s face; charging €25 to use the emergency exit; and charging €50 to have the cabin crew wear bikinis. The contest runs this month on www.ryanair.com.
