New routes to Canaries
NEW FLIGHTS from Cork and Knock to the Canaries will be rolled out next year as Ryanair sets up new bases on the islands. The airline is promising to carry up to 4.5 million passengers to and from its three new bases on the Canary Islands which will be up and running for next summer.
Flights to Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife start up next February, while flights to Fuerteventura will also increase. In total Ryanair will operate 112 routes to/from the Canary Islands (including 35 new routes).
The airline carried just 300,000 passengers to the Canary Islands in 2009.

The number of people who entered the Go/irishtimes.com ski competition to
win a week's skiing or snowboarding including flights, transfers and chalet
accommodation in Val d'Isère, as well as €1,500 worth of ski gear and ski
lessons, all courtesy of 53 Degrees North, Highlife Ski & Snowboard, and the
Ski Centre in Sandyford. The winner is Máire Ní Chonláin from Spiddal, Co Galway
