NEW YORK may be off the list for shoppers this Christmas, but London beckons with its high streets, skating rinks and now with the Winter Wonderland festival in Hyde Park.
Twenty acres of the park have been transformed with a fairground and Christmas market with a big wheel, Christmas stalls and booths selling hot chocolate and gluhwein.
To coincide, the Doyle Collection of London hotels – the Bloomsbury, Marylebone and Kensington – are all offering deals between now and January 4th. The package includes overnight accommodation, a cocktail, full English breakfast and 30 tokens to spend on rides and attractions at Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland. Prices start at £215 (€253) per room (doylecollection.com).
