As part of its efforts to rebuild its brand presence, Fiat has revealed the format of its new incentive scheme that will start with Panda and gradually move on to other models.

Fiat is now offering a choice of three packages to customers who buy the new supermini.

Under the new programme, entitled "Fiat for You", buyers can choose at no extra cost one of three packages:

extending the manufacturer's two-year warranty for a further three-years (up to 120,000 kms) including roadside assistance, with a redeemable value which can be used if the car is sold/traded in for another Fiat before the fifth year, or:

interest-free finance (zero per cent) over 24 months for a customer with a trade-in, or a deposit equal in value to 50 per cent of the Open Book price, or:

an additional €400 trade-in allowance, or a discount of that amount for buyers with no trade-in.

The new programme will extend across the rest of the Fiat car range here within a matter of weeks. This should put the Panda in serious contention in the supermini segment, given that it's already well-priced, starting at €10,995 on the road.

Fiat are quick to point to the fact that its prices include all delivery charges, as opposed to other manufacturers who quote ex-works.
