Meadows and Byrne’s summer sale is in full swing and has some great al fresco dining ideas. Bargain Hunter loves their powder-coated red steel table and two-chair sets, perfect for adding a flash of colour to small gardens and balconies. It’s reduced 34 per cent from €120 to €79.

There’s also a mosaic-covered, wrought-iron- frame dining set with seating for four. The pedestal round table measures 90cm in diameter and comes with four armchairs. It was €395 and is now €295, a reduction of 25 per cent. And, given the recent deluges, there is a folding table that you can bring outside if and when the sun shines. The MDF-topped table was €69 and is now reduced to €49.

There are French navy deck chairs that also fold away, reduced from €49 to €29. And rope- adorned cushions, that come in two sizes, 30cm by 70cm and 45cm by 45cm, are down, respectively, from €17.95 to €12 each and from €19.95 to €9.95 each.
