Zala Springs, located between Budapest and Vienna in the heart of Hungary's spa and wine regions, will be a five- star golf and country club.

Lisney is marketing 300 types of properties there including garden apartments, golf villas, golf lodges, clubhouses and spa apartments. Prices start at €128,000. Clubhouse and spa apartments come fully fitted with a guaranteed rental yield of 5 per cent for three years, says the agent.

One of the first investor-driven resorts in Hungary, the 500-acre resort will be built on one of the thermal springs dotted around the region. The resort is located near Heviz in an area of Hungary noted for its tourism near Keszthely, one of the largest towns at Lake Balaton.

Zala Springs is being developed by a consortium which includes the Carr Golf Group, the Lewis family and a Hungarian group.
