The three-storey house, which backs on to the grounds of Wanderers Football Club, will be auctioned by Finnegan Menton on June 10th. The guide price is £1.5 million-plus.

However, it has a gracious and very bright interior and many of its original features such as fireplaces and cornicing are intact. There is a particularly fine carved marble fireplace in the diningroom that originally came from a house in Holles Street.
