Peach perfect : Perk up a dull complexion with peachy tones – an easy to wear choice that suits all skin tones

Peach perfect: Perk up a dull complexion with peachy tones – an easy to wear choice that suits all skin tones. The mixture of pink and yellow gives a warmth to peach that is absent from most nude tones, making it an instant face brightener worn on eyes, lips and cheeks.

This season, peach tones are at the core of Estee Lauder’s Topaz Collection, with creative director Tom Pecheux taking inspiration from the warm hues of the Arizona dessert when developing the range. “I was thinking of a gorgeously healthy-looking woman and I wanted to convey that with a palette of strong yet soft colours.” The mosaic eye palette (€46) combines wearable shades with the inspired addition of citron yellow, giving a fresh wide-eyed finish.

Gloss without gloop

Forget the syrupy formulas that your hair loves to adhere to – lip glosses have moved on. YSL’s Rouge pur Couture Vernis a Levres (€33) is quite a mouthful in more ways than one (is it just me or are product names getting longer?) Satiny rather than sticky, this formula delivers a sophisticated sheen instead of the usual glassy finish and is much longer wearing than its rivals. No need to apply lipstick first either – this gloss is colour rich and has and excellent shade range. If you love a red lip, shade 9 offers a truly modern take on a classic.

I can't live without . . .

Deirdre Devaney, Fashion and Beauty Director, Arnotts

Cleanser:I have recently started using the Emma Hardie natural lift and sculpt luxury cleansing system. This kit contains Moringa cleansing balm and rosehip exfoliating seeds and a polish cleansing cloth. The balm is very hydrating and feels wonderful on my skin. I mix the exfoliating seeds with the balm when my skin feels a bit dull.

Fragrance:I like to discover and experiment with different fragrances. My scent du jour is from the house of Creed, and it is wonderful that there still exists a family-owned perfume house that creates highly original fragrances. Fleurissimo is a classic floral.

Candles:Cloon Keen Atelier is an artisan range of fragrances and candles created in Galway. The founders Maggie and Julian are interested in telling a story through their perfumes. This month I am burning Antique Library which has a scent of incense, nutmeg and leather.

Mascara:I don't feel awake and ready for business until I have applied my mascara. The Diorshow New Look mascara has just come on the market, and this nano-brush mascara offers volume, definition and care. It certainly works for me.
