Conor Faughnan: Sometimes you don’t realise that you’re under stress until you stop.

Do you think you have a healthy lifestyle? Sort of, but not because I consciously try. I eat reasonably well at home but I go through far too much coffee in the office. My lifestyle is reasonably active. I enjoy being healthy but I don’t obsess over lifestyle choices.

How often do you exercise? I play football every Tuesday evening; I'll be in Belfield tonight, displaying my skills, badly. I cycle quite a bit, the office is in town and I live in Knocklyon. I have a folding bike that goes in the boot of the car and a full-size bike too. I'm not a gym bunny. I would find it difficult to say, "Right, for the next hour, I'll exercise." I tend not to buy into that. Do you get your five a day? I should eat more fruit than I do. I like a full Irish breakfast and I like my roast beef and roast potatoes. I eat potatoes when they have salt and butter on them, so diet-wise, I'm probably less than ideal.

Do you worry? Probably "no". I always had a reasonably level headed and laidback attitude to life. In recent years, work has become a bit more stressful and busier and, if I'm honest, that probably tells on me to an extent. Sometimes you don't realise that you're under stress until you stop.

What do you do to relax? I'm an appalling golfer, which is the best game in the world to be bad at. I read a lot and when I'm at home, I just like to chill out and spend time with the family. Most weekends we'll walk somewhere like Glendalough. I enjoy from time to time going out for a pint with the old school pals. I like to think when I'm out of work I can leave it behind me.

What’s your unhealthiest habit? At work, I’ll have four or five cups of coffee and at least a couple of cups of tea back home. I’m not sure what the medical optimal is, but I’m clearly well north of it. I have an on-off wrestling bout with the cigarettes. Again, if I could cut that completely, I’m sure I’d probably be healthier for it.
