Today at 3pm is the closing date for entry to the annual Banna 10km run, which sees several hundred competitors take on a gentle route along the coast and inland. The run takes place on Sunday at 9.30am. runireland.com

A programme of free Shakespeare begins in the Iveagh Gardens today with The Tempest, presented by Fortune’s Fool Productions. 7pm on weekdays, 3pm tomorrow and Sunday. It runs until August 12th.
