Celebration DayAtlantic ****
For a certain generation, the reformation of Led Zeppelin is akin to winning the lottery or having their dreams come true. That’s exactly what happened in London almost five years ago, on the night of December 7th, at the city’s O2 Arena, when the remaining members of the iconic British rock band (Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones) got together to play a tribute show for Atlantic Records boss Ahmet Ertegun.
Twenty million fans applied for 18,000 tickets? You had to be there, for sure. But if for 19,982,000 reasons you weren't, then celebrate the coming of Celebration Day, which is a luxurious in-your-sweaty-face live CD/DVD experience that really proves just how good a band this bunch of old pros are. Or is it "were"? There are no signs of a continuation. Yet. ledzeppelin.com
