Denmark might not be known for producing too many noisy rock’n’roll bands, which is just as well, as Efterklang (Danish for remembrance or reverberation) are far removed from a racket. This band, so aptly titled, blend subtle laptop electronics with lucid acoustic instrumentation. Since their formation in late 2000, they have altered their sound to incorporate many guest musicians (not forgetting choirs), while latterly they have embraced the ostensible straightforwardness of songs rather than their noble take on electro-acoustics.

No matter what you get from this lot, though, you can guarantee it’s always shot through with clarity and finesse. Really, really enjoy these gigs.
