Talk about coming from a musically creative family. American musician David Stith’s grandfather is a professor emeritus at Cornell University’s music department; his father is a wind ensemble director, his mother a pianist. Meanwhile, Stith’s sisters sing opera, and play piano and timpani. What else was he going to do?

It didn’t happen immediately for Stith, however. Following time spent at college, where his academic pursuits included writing, illustrating and designing, he became friends with My Brightest Diamond’s Shara Worden, a partnership that spurred him to write and record his own material.

Expect to hear an intriguing blend of Jeff Buckley, Antony Hegarty, Grizzly Bear, and far more besides.
