Scottish-born but Baltimore-raised, there has always been something odd about David Byrne. Tellingly, rock music snagged him instead of his chosen post-high-school subjects of visual and conceptual art, and from the mid-1970s onwards he effectively fused the two in a sequence of very fine, innovative albums for Talking Heads and subsequent solo work.

The basic substance of these concerts is, we are informed, the music he created in collaboration with Brian Eno on the groundbreaking My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, but he may also include items from Talking Heads and his wide-ranging solo career. All of which means it could well be the gig of the week.
