TRACK OF THE WEEK:
Imagine It Was Us
by Jessie Ware
Our girl Jessie Ware is back on it like nothing else. Sassy, classy and a banger to boot,
Imagine It Was Us
is the logical follow up to
110%.
It's taken from the re-release of
Devotion,
and it's a definite keeper. The guitar-work is Chic-worthy, and the beat combines with enough laid-back Ware swagger to keep any club open and serving past curfew.
OMG, Miley’s confirmed her new single! Kind of! Enough for us, anyway! She told Ryan Seacrest that “I did a song with Snoop and it’s coming out very, very soon! It’s recorded, done. I’m so excited! He was in Europe when he was recording, but he’s here this weekend so I’m pretty excited I’m going to take a bunch of my friends and go hang out.”
Miley spoke a little bit about her upcoming album too. “I want this record to be different and a bunch of passion projects. Which the first thing, I wouldn’t have calculated like, ‘Oh the first song I want to come out is me and Snoop Dogg’.” We wouldn’t have calculated it either, Miley – but it all adds up in the end.
Beyoncé’s been talking about Blue Ivy – and we’re all ears. “I’m most surprised by how much she’s taught me,” Bey told Shape. “She’s only a year old and I’ve learned so much about myself from her. Giving birth was one of my biggest fears, and having Blue forced me to face it. And now I recognise the strength I have. She teaches me to focus on the things that truly matter, like family, and to pay attention to each moment, because they go by so quickly.” She went on: “I just adore being a mother, hearing her say Mama and call me when she needs something. It makes me feel like I have a real purpose here. I enjoy all the things people warned me would be tough to handle.”
We’re here if you need an honorary Godmother, B! Or a baby-sitter . . .
