Sir, – Kevin Nolan (Letters, November 30th) is correct in calling for a new agenda across the EU to educate our young as to what science is, and how it should inform judgement in matters such as vaccines and Covid-19.
However, I suggest that rather than leaving it to the EU, we should start at home and in the first instance, perhaps RTÉ could explain why every news bulletin I have heard to date regarding the Omicron variant has had a contribution from its political correspondents, but only an occasional input from its health correspondent. Surely Covid should be a health/science issue, not a political football.
