Ed Sheeran is up for a love scene with Helen Mirren, but she probably isn’t

TRACK OF THE WEEK
Lyra - Emeralds

OK, so we'd slept on Lyra until she took over our Instagram feed via Body&Soul this weekend. And oh man, we're in. The buzz around this Cork singer says Enya, but we think she owes a debt instead to Florence and the Machine. Think grand, verdant metaphors, tales of wild nights and swoopy, galloping vocals that come crashing down in the chorus. There's an EP on Spotify – and we're keeping our ears out for an album. Check out this gorgeous Secret Session of Lyra's song Emeralds.

Hero of the week is Kate Nash, who spoke up about the pressure on women in the public eye. She told the Independent: "When you're a woman, you have such a strange relationship with your body because – especially when you're in the public eye – you're constantly being judged. People comment on my body all the time in a really inappropriate way, in a way I find completely offensive. [I] saw it in serious newspapers where I've been called 'too fat' and 'too ugly' to be a popstar."

Meanwhile, Louis Tomlinson told the Guardian that he never really found his role in One Direction. "The others have always been… Like Niall, for example. He's the most lovely guy in the world. Happy-go-lucky Irish, no sense of arrogance. And he's fearless. There are times I've thought: 'I'd have a bit of that.' Zayn, back in the day. He could relate to me on a nerves level. In the first year, we were both the least confident. But Zayn has a fantastic voice and for him it was always about owning that. Liam always had a good stage presence, same as Harry, they've both got that ownership. Harry comes across very cool. Liam's all about getting the crowd going, doing a bit of dancing… And then there's me."

Zero of the week is a love scene between Ed Sheeran and Helen Mirren. Ed told ITV his acting skills aren't up to much. "I always loved Helen Mirren, me and Helen Mirren could do a love scene. I guess that sounds weird, doesn't it?" I'm not really a good actor, and she's a very good actress, so I don't think she'd want to do it".
