Smartphones aren’t cheap. But some are definitely less expensive than others, and while that would usually mean you have to make sacrifices, that trade-off is looking increasingly small for some manufacturers.
Take the Vodafone Smart Prime series, for example. The Smart Prime 7 offers decent specs – a 5 megapixel front-facing camera, an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5in screen, running Android marshmallow – for just under €130.
It also looks good, forgoing some of the bulk that cheaper devices often suffer from.
Memory wise the 8GB of internal memory isn’t much, but it can be expanded via a 128GB micro SD card.
So “budget-friendly” doesn’t always have to mean “cheap and nasty”.
