Sony’s latest Alpha 7 camera has a lot going on. The most important features are its 33 megapixel full-frame image sensor, which promises excellent image quality, advanced imaging technologies and advanced autofocus capabilities that you would expect in some of Sony’s more expensive cameras.

The Alpha 7 IV is pitching itself as the ultimate hybrid camera – handling both video and still imaging with ease, and 4K capablities. It has a dual-layer mode dial that allows users to switch between dedicated settings for still and video footage, and five-axis optical in-body image stabilisation to reduce shake. Sony also plans to offer an AI-powered cloud editing service to users in the near future.

The bad news? The camera won’t be officially available until December. It will also cost €3,000 for the camera and lens kit, or €2,800 for the body only if you already have some compatible lenses.
