The Chime Pro has two main functions. The most important – for those without wired doorbells – is freeing the Ring doorbell from your mobile phone or tablet. Without it, you are dependent on having a fully charged phone at all times to hear your doorbell ringing. If you have a wired doorbell, this isn't an issue. But the Chime Pro can still be of some use, because it works as a wifi hotspot, bringing your wireless internet to areas of your home that are dead zones. That's a must when you are dependent on a good wifi network to make sure your Ring doorbell reaches everywhere in your home. It's easy to set up: simply plug it in and follow the instructions on the Ring app. And adding Ring devices to its wifi network is a simple matter too. You can pick it up in Maplin.
