The son of the former Kenyan ambassador to Ireland and his fiancé were among those killed in the terrorist attack at the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, the Embassy of Kenya in Dublin said today.

Mbugua Mwangi was killed along with his fiancé Rosemary Wahito. He was the son of ambassador Catherine Muigai Mwangi.

She returned to Kenya last month after spending six-years as ambassador to Ireland.

The embassy will open a book of condolence at 10am tomorrow at 11 Eglin Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 and it will remain open until Friday.
