Technology and engineering group, ABB is to transfer its operations from Columbus, Ohio to Dundalk with the creation of up to 30 new jobs, it was announced today.

The Dundalk factory will assume full manufacturing responsibility for scanner, sensor and profiler products from June 30th.

ABB, originally as AccuRay, already employs 70 people at its Co Louth plant in manufacturing, engineering and logistics.

The Dundalk factory is owned by ABB Group's Irish subsidiary ABB Limited, which employs more than 600 people.
