The emergency services are at the scene of a fire in Edenderry, Co Offaly, this evening.
The blaze took place at a house in the town and gardaí fear people were trapped inside the property as the blaze took hold.
However, it was unclear if there were any fatalities.
In response to queries, Garda headquarters said: “As this incident is ongoing, no further information is available at this time.”
