How about a beautiful throw or scarf, handwoven at Avoca’s historic mill in Wicklow. The country’s best-known weaver has introduced a monogram service that lets you customise each piece with the recipients’ initials, with embroidery starting from €15.

Another fab range comes from Áine Breen’s Liwu Jewellery. The Coastal Vibe Collection, cast from shells found on Wexford’s beaches, and cost €110-€399. Catch it online or at Lu & Mol, her Gorey shop.

Forget handbags at dawn, it’s handbags on Christmas morn for Reidin Magner of ByReidin, an eye-catching range of leather and velvet bags, which retail from €165 to €265. Magner, a bone-fide jet setter (she still works part time as cabin crew) developed her love of design while travelling the world. The result are low-key luxury bags that have quite literally, ahem, taken off.
